I'm so wound-up and hyper I can't stand it. I'm leaving in a little bit to go pick up my little kitten from the Animal Control & Care Center and bring her home for the first time. I've been waiting my whole life to have my own kitty. I really hope she likes my apartment. I stayed up practically all night putting away the last of my stuff left in boxes and scattered about from the move, so that it's all neat and tidy and there's nothing laying around that might hurt the kitty. I'm gonna vacuum the place before I go get her because the floor needs it and I don't want to run the vacuum around the kitty and scare her before she gets used to her new home. I'm also waiting to place my decorative objects like candleholders and breakable stuff until I see where she can jump up and climb.
I've still got to buy the carrier to put her in, but I'll do that on my way to pick her up once the people at the shelter call me and tell me they're ready for me. Until then, I'll try and keep busy here at home.
Ok, shelter just called. Gotta go! Wish me luck. I'll report back with a description of kitty and hopefully some pictures if I can get my little computer camera up and running.
